When you submit an artwork for sale through MutualArt, it goes through several stages before reaching potential buyers. To keep you informed throughout the process, each artwork is assigned a status that reflects where it stands in the journey—from initial submission to sale. Below is a guide to help you understand what each status means and what actions, if any, are required from you.
1. Info received
“Information submitted. Awaiting review by MutualArt's sales team”
This means your submission has been received successfully. At this stage, no further action is needed from you while our sales team reviews the details provided.

3. Reaching out to auction houses for offer
“Artwork shared with auction houses. Awaiting their offers.”
Your artwork has been sent to our network of trusted auction houses. We’re now waiting to hear back from them with potential offers.
4. Auction house requested additional info
“An auction house has asked a question about your artwork. Please check your mailbox and respond to move forward.”
An auction house needs more details before deciding. Check your inbox for a message from us and reply with the requested information to keep the process moving.
5. No offers found
“At this time, no auction houses have expressed interest in the artwork.”
Unfortunately, none of the auction houses have made an offer for your artwork yet. We will continue to look for potential opportunities and keep you updated.
6. Offers received, awaiting your selection
“You have received offers in your mailbox. Please review and choose your preferred option.”
Good news—offers are in! Check your mailbox to see the proposals and select the one that works best for you.
7. Introduction
“An introductory email was sent to you and the auction house. Please check your mailbox.”
You’ve accepted an offer, and we’ve introduced you directly to the auction house. Please check your email to start coordinating the next steps with them.
8. Withdrawn
“We have ceased searching for offers on your behalf, as you have indicated that you are no longer interested.”
You've chosen to stop the process. No further outreach or updates will be made regarding this submission.
9. Sold
“The artwork has been sold. Please contact the auction house to arrange payment.”
Congratulations! Your artwork has sold. Please reach out to the auction house directly to finalize payment and delivery details.
